Who We Are
The Twin Cities Tall Club (TCTC) is a social organization for TALL people looking for a different perspective! Our organization was established in 1941 to unite and organize tall men and women. Our purpose is to sponsor social activities that promote friendships within the tall community, and to enhance the lives of all tall people. We invite you to join us for that new perspective.
Our social calendar is full of activities that can be enjoyed by all, but are particularly of interest to those of above average height: women 5'10" and up; men 6'2" and above. TCTC has approximately 80 members, ranging in height from 5'10" to 6'8". See our calendar pages for the schedule of current events.
As a non-profit organization, we sponsor and participate in various charitable and community service activities. We raise awareness and funds for our own TCTC Educational Scholarship Award, and the Tall Clubs International Foundation's Scholarship Fund. We also support The National Marfan Foundation
~ TCI is the largest contributor to National Marfan Foundation ~
Benefits of TCI membership
Networking ~ Over 4,000 people make up our TCI community throughout the United States and Canada ~ your business and social networking opportunities are endless.
Travel opportunities ~ with 65 clubs in the United States and Canada, not to mention all the European club affiliates, you can travel to almost any major city and be greeted by a tall friend. And, don't forget most clubs hold "weekend" gatherings that inspire "mini vacations". Advocacy ~ Enhancing the life of all tall individuals requires us to create tall awareness.
For example, some of our clubs requested a larger bed and the California King bed was developed. Airline travel isn't very comfortable if you are tall, so we have been discussing legroom issues with the airlines, and today two companies have increased the distance between the rows.
